Featured Stamper Challenge

I did the SCS Featured Stamper Challenge today!! The featured stamper is YLM. It is a great gallery for ideas.
I used my Martha Stewart border punch on the edge of the card. I stamped the Stampendous flower image and colored it in with copics. Since I used these little note cards that I buy at the expedia store in bulk, they aren't real thick cardstock. A little bit of the copic marker comes through on the inside of the card. But I decided that is Okay....these will be easy to make and I can see a group of them will make great card gifts.

Group Inspired Card

This is a card that was group inspired. First I saw a card that my friend Heather made. (I call her Hoots and I can't wait til she gets a blog.) So the layout design inspiration was from her card. Then I read where Cami was hosting a pink challenge. So I knew that I wanted to do a pink card. Then I knew I wanted to use the dp paper that Lana gifted me, but the flowers were too white. So I colored them in with my copic markers. Worked well I thought. I have posted a picture to show you the difference in the dp look.

Then I stamped the main image with the set: Flower Chat from Stampendous that Joy and Daisy got me hooked on. Then for my embellishments I used Cindy's brads and ribbon. I added the paper piercing cuz Val does that alot on her cards and I like that idea.(especially when it comes out straight!)

It was a fun card to make. Especially since I thought about all the stamper friends who somehow influenced me while I was making this card. I always enjoy thinking about my stamper friends and hopeing that they are having a wonderful day. So Cami, Heather, Lana, Joy, Daisy, Cindy and Val... I am sending you a hug and hopeing that today you are having a wonderful day because I thought of you today while I was making this card.

My DH just surprised me with a cup of coffee from starbucks....YUMMY. My son is home for the weekend from college, so I will be busy with fixing food and handing out $. I want to try and do some speed stamping(thinking about Lisa who is probably speed stamping,too)...even if it is tonite. I stamped all my images I want to use on my neenah paper so they are ready to be copic-fied. Is that a word?

Keeping in Touch

This chick stamp has always been a favorite of mine. I just love to keep in touch with my friends and look forward to times I have to chat with them on the computer. I also like to send friends a card just to say hi.

Turquoise Cards

These two cards were made with Turquoise as the main color. I like using Turquoise for the cards I make. It is a favorite color of mine. For the Changito Bday , I went through my embellishments and found the metal clip and the photo thingys to use. For the Flower Chat stamp set card, I used CS that was inspired by the dp paper: Turquoise and Almost Amethsyt.

Let's Celebrate today like it is our Birthday

I love this color combination and I forgot how much I loved it until I started making this card.
Old Olive and Night of Navy are so good together. This Changito stamp from eclectic Paperie is one of my favorite stamps sets to use for birthday cards. I need more Changito stamps. They are the cutest monkeys and so easy to color with the copic markers. I will put this card in my birthday card stash for now. I figure it is Friday and let's all Celebrate today like it is our Birthday! Why not?

Two For Today!

I just wanted to post the cards that I made with this stamp set from Stampendous. Lana sent me some images and after I made a few cards, I immediately purchased the stamp set from eP. It stamps perfectly everytime and has lots of cute sayings to put in the box. So I will be posting more cards with this stamp set for sure. I like a stamp set that stamps good and has versatility.

This is how I designed these cards. I started with the paper to use in determining which copic markers to color with. On the first one, I used the Score pal to emboss a box around it. I tried to take a close up picture of the embossed box. (for lack of another word or term.)
For the second one, I colored a white flower with my copic marker and it matches perfectly.
So Score Pal and Copic Markers to the rescue on this one. Of course, I used my Lana buttons on the cards.....I hope I never run out of Lana buttons. (did you read that Lana?)

After School Card

I needed a quick card for a birthday. This Delia Chick stamp is so cute and lots of fun to color in with the copic markers. I love that she is popping out of the cake!!! I think I will make more square cards. They are so easy to make and fun to design. I think next time, I might stamp the sentiment in a coordinating color instead of black. Lana gifted me the dp paper. Isn't it fun paper for a birthday card? I got the card done and still have time to fix supper. That is good timing on my part!!

Celebrating Birthdays

It is my friend's birthday at work and I made her a set of note cards and even stamped on the envelope. I used Stampendous stamps on these cards. I used Spring Sprigs for the note card and then Dandie Trio for the envelopes. I colored the images in with prismacolors/gamsol. I think they will make a pretty gift for my friend. I love coloring with this set. I think the images stamp perfectly every time.
