Batty for you

I had this idea in my head all week....to make a different type fold on a card. Cindy over at StarLitStudio used this type fold on some sympathy cards. I just used the same idea but for a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 size card. Inside the sentiment reads: Happy Halloween. I "fought" with taking a good picture of the inside and finally gave up. LOL It works well with the double sided designer papers.

Well, it is off to the laundry room and finish laundry. DH was in Wisconsin to check on our land up there and make sure that the new road was intact after the rain. It was good and we even have grass growing in the ditches they dug along side the road. I think that next weekend they are going to try and move the Sugar Shack trailer to our land. I can't wait to get up there. There is a local apple orchard with the best apple donuts ever....can't wait to bite into one of those. (I have learned on WWers, it is okay to have a special treat now and then.) I guess "a" is the word I need to remember and not the whole bag. LOL.

I need more than 24 hours today to get everything I need to get done.......so I best get going.

Sweet Saturday

Hi everyone!! This is a card that I made last year for Halloween. I just love using the google eyes on cards. I am stamping today. I am stamping today. That is why Saturday is sweet. :)

It is also sweet.........considering I lost 3 pounds this week. That means that in 11 weeks I have lost 11 pounds. I think that is a good average. The key for me is to NOT give up on the weight loss journey.

I am so excited that I am stamping today. I am like a kid in a candy store.......which stamp set and paper should I start with?

Of course, I will do laundry, too. But nothing else......so that is the Plan.

Flying By with a Halloween HI

Can you tell that I have been stamping Halloween cards? I just love this SU set.
I used colored pencils and gamsol to color in the images. The papers were from my Halloween stash.
I hope you had time to stamp or do whatever is fun for you this weekend. It was a very rainy weekend here. Lots of streets are flooded. It was a good weekend to stay inside and work on projects. :)

Altered Mini Composition

Hello!!!
My friend, Robin, gave me a grab bag of goodies at Retreat. Inside was one of those mini compositon books. I decided to alter it. I used the cute little hedgehog guy from eclectic Paperie. I love how these images stamp on paper. They are fun to color, too. I mass produced a few more images to make into cards.

Here is the close up of the card images I colored. I cut out the little flower and popped it up on the image to add a little dimension and fun to the image.


Boy, did I have fun coloring those cute hedgehogs!!
I must be in School mode because I am waking up early on weekends.....lol. School is going great.
There were a couple of days when it was HOT, but now the temps are cooler and that is a good thing. I can tell my brain is on school, cuz I diagnose in my head what my plans are with my students as I go about my life outside of school. (That is why I need cute little books to carry around.......that way when something pops in my head.....I can write it down.) I thought of an idea for one of my students this weekend and I am so excited to get to school and try it out.
Well, I need to go shopping with my son. We take him back to college on Tuesday. It is so true when you see those bumper stickers that say My Son/Daughter and my money go to college. LOL I gotta laugh....or else I would cry. No, I am so glad that we are able to help our son achieve his goals in life....(Payback on that will be later...LOL)

A Labor Day Post

Hello Everyone!! Here it is September.....where oh where did August go? I am posting some cards and projects that I have recently done. I sure hope you have enjoyed your Labor Day Week-end. We were up in Wisconsin. I spent two days just coloring stamp images! I can't wait to get started on making some cards. It was a beautiful weekend.
Here are some cards that I made for my card stash. I like how they turned out.

Here is a project that I made this summer for a gift exchange at the Retreat. It is one of those decorated canisters that you can fill with cookies or goodies and then give away. I decorated a small photo book and turned it into a recipe book. Fun stuff!!



I hope you have all enjoyed your weekend as much as I did. We even played Lasso Golf! That was alot of fun. It was just fun to be relaxed and with my family. Now it is time to get my son ready to return to college. This summer sure went by fast.
