Projects! Projects! and more Projects!!

It has been awhile since I have made a blog post. {Does everybody else feel like time is just flying by?} I have some projects to show you and drat it......modern technology fails me.... I can't get my camera to download the pictures to the computer.
So, I thought I would entertain you with how I got my name Bevie Pearl. Today is my birthday:
December 7th-Pearl Harbor Day. (I wasn't born on the actural Pearl Harbor Day.) LOL.
Anyway, my friends started calling me Bevie and one time I mentioned that I was glad that my parents didn't call me Pearl. So, I think it was Bethie, started it all.......she called me Bevie Pearl.
So that is how I came by the name Bevie Pearl. It has stuck to me like glue and for short: BP.
As far as my birthday is going.........well, let's just say It has been a very happy day!! :)

And on a side note: Having a birthday in December (growing up) people would combine your birthday present with your Christmas present. (I am not complaining....just making a statement.)IF you know someone who has a December birthday.....if you can, celebrate it separately from their Christmas. Especially if the person is a child.
I think that is why I wait until after my birthday to do Christmas decorating. (or it could be because I am always behind in that department.)

I hope to get some pictures to post ASAP.

Have some cake today......sugar makes the world sweeter and calories don't count in December.

I love this stamp set!!!!!

I love this stamp set from Our Craft Lounge. It is so versatile to use and I can't wait to stamp with it some more. These projects were inspired by my friends, Mish and Val, they have used this design for cards and when I saw For the Love of Birds stamp set from Our Craft Lounge, I just had to make some cards with it. It is so fun to make these note cards. Just perfect for writing a note to someone for a thank you, get well soon, congratulations, happy birthday, ...you get the idea. LOL
I hope that you are having a wonderful TGIF!! I know that I am. We are heading out to WI to the Sugar Shack. It will be my last visit until spring. So I will be stamping all day Saturday!!

I am so excited for today!! Our Craft Lounge is open!!! Go over and feast your eyes on this wonderful stamp store. What sets do you like? I have to order a few more, myself. (Christmas is coming and I want to buy some for myself and for my stamping friends.)

More Sneak Peeks for Our Craft Lounge

Here's my sneak peek for today!! I made a 60th wedding anniversary ensemble for my parent's 6oth wedding they will be celebrating. I just love how it turned out. I love how the OCL stamps stamp. This set is called For the Love of Birds. Isn't it awesome?

Some EXCITING news! Sneak Peek!!

I am soooooooo excited to tell you about a new stamp company, Our Craft Lounge, which will be opening their website on Saturday, November 15........YES THIS SATURDAY!!! And I have some sneak peeks of projects that I have made, using their stamp sets. You are gonna love them. The stamp set I am starting my sneak peek with is called: Pat the Dog.

As you know, we lost our Boomer to cancer this summer. I was encouraged to document a file folder scrap album of Our beloved Boomer using Our Craft Lounge stamps. I love scrapbooking with stamps!! This set was perfect for what I wanted to do. I used My Minds Eye Paper for this project. Love that paper. I love the title saying: Who's Your Doggie that I used on this. I colored all the images with copic markers. I hope you enjoy viewing my project. Let's sing it backwards.......LOL

I spent all weekend up in Wisconsin at our "Sugar Shack". I had plenty of free time to start my holiday planning. I colored in the posted images for a project that I am working on. My friend, Lana, inspired me to create something with these darling images from eP. They are quick and easy to stamp and color. It's a good thing because I needed 6 of each image.

When I downloaded the picture posts.........they came out backwards in number order..but I don't know how to switch pictures around. LOL.
So can you sing A Partridge in a Pear Tree Backwards?

A couple of my favorites are 9 Ladies Dancing....Love the chubby tummy in her tutu and 6 Geese A Laying....Look at her expression when she got a red egg!!! LOL.

Holiday Planner

Last nite, we (some stamping friends) got together and virtually stamped. I made up challenge suggestion choices for them or just do whatever you want to stamp. It just gave us some time to chat online and to stamp together. My friend, Lana, is an inspiration to me as a friend and as a stamper. She was already doing Holiday stamping. It inspired me to put this Holiday Planner together. It is an idea from Navy who made us these planners at our retreat.

It is made out of a mailer envelope at the base. You just fold it in half. I love the idea of having a handy planner for the holidays. You can put your receipts inside the mailer. I can see so many possibilities for this project.

The first picture shows the inside. The second picture shows the outside. You can use velcro or magnetic snaps to hold it together. (My velcro is at school for projects and my magnetic snaps are yet to be found in my stamp room.) But I think you get the idea.

I have been so overwhelmed and stressed that this was just what I needed. Time to be with friends and time to do a project. It really helped me get out of my funkay mood. :)

I will be making more of these and posting as I do. If you are reading this and know that you are on my Christmas list......pretend you didn't see it. LOL
